Nigerian oilfield resumespumping
Abuja , 25 June-(ANA)- Oil production hasresumed at a Nigerian offshore installation six days after an attack bymilitants.
The Bonga oil field, 120km (75miles) offshore accounts for a tenth of Nigeria's production.
The facility was previouslythought safe from militants' attacks, which have shut down oil production byaround a quarter in recent years.
The Movement for theEmancipation of the Niger Delta (Mend) claimed it carried out the attack.
"We're up and running onBonga", a spokeswoman for the energy company Royal Dutch Shell told theAFP news agency.
One American was kidnappedfrom another boat during the attack but was later released. (ANA)
